COMMENTS

This only way I can think of to describe this CD is as a companion CD to Beautiful People (Brilliant Records BT 33023). While the track listing is virtually the same and the recordings are certainly the same, the versions that appear here have often been enhanced, either to include new instrumentation or to bring out the existing instrumentation, particularly drums and percussion. The changes seem to have been made to give the songs a stronger beat and generally make them feel funkier/rockier.

In some cases entire new guitar parts have been incorporated (People In The Front Row, Baby Guitar, Ruby Tuesday), or synthesized strings added (Any Guy, Close To It All) or a stronger drum line introduced (Some Day I'll Be A Farmer, Together Alone, Close To It All, Baby Day)

To finish the album Ruby Tuesday '99 is the rock version mix from the Deshima single Lay Down (DES 667987-2)
