THE FOUR SIDES OF MELANIE
|

 SIDE 1 1. SOMEBODY LOVES ME (2:27) 2. BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE (3:35) 3. IN THE HOUR (3:04) 4. I REALLY LOVED HAROLD (4:05) 5. JOHNNY BOY (2:41) 6. ANY GUY (2:50) 7. I'M BACK IN TOWN (2:17)
The first side of Melanie portrays her in the formative years of her career. These sensitive songs were taken mostly from her first album and present personal insights into a complex performer. |

SIDE 2 8. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO MY SONG, MA (4:02) 9. LAY DOWN (CANDLES IN THE RAIN) (7:50) 10. PEACE WILL COME (ACCORDING TO PLAN) (3:18) 12. NICKEL SONG (3:04) 13. BABE RAINBOW (Reprise) (1:00)
Here is the commercial side of Melanie…Melanie, finding the success she needed to reach the public in her unique way. Her hits are here…and so is the truth |
|

SIDE 3 14. MR TAMBOURINE MAN (4:20) 15. CAROLINA IN MY MIND (3:37) 16. RUBY TUESDAY (4:31) 17. SIGN ON THE WINDOW (2:22) 18. LAY LADY LAY (6:15)
Here, Melanie provides her own, very personal, interpretations of her favourite songs…and her favourite songwriters. This side of Melanie opens even deeper insights into her emotions…Her womanhood. |

 SIDE 4 19. CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (2:35) 20. ANIMAL CRACKERS (2:12) 21. I DON'T EAT ANIMALS (2:10) 22. PSYCHOTHERAPY (4:55) 23. LEFTOVER WINE (4:42)
Perhaps this side should be called “Melanie In Wonderland.” It shows her imagination, yet below the surface they continue to reflect her serious concern about all forms of life in her world |
