A message from Melanie:
Hello Dear Ones; When I was just growing I had records on vinyl, some in colors. One of my favorites was ‘The Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ on Red. Later, when I made my first record in 1969, the times were ripe for a near renaissance on Earth. My Beautiful People on Columbia Records. Then I went to Buddah, and just about anything I wanted to create, I was able to create…Almost! “Peter“, I said…Let’s press the LP in Grape, like the ones I had when I was little. “I want a Grape record!” ~Well I never did get any of my forty some-odd releases in colors. The World is draped, studded and bejeweled in taupe, gray, beige, black, cappuccino…various cement colors. Safe and drab. It’s time for my Grape record. ~Oh, you were expecting mocha? No. Flowers and colors. Peter promised me a Grape one, and Grape it is! Now I present in 2012 ‘Ever Since You Never Heard Of Me‘… …the Purple pressing! |
